Ok so here’s the deal… Delaney and I have been super busy lately with work and stuff, so, as you may have noticed, we have not been posting lately.

We apologize. In fact, we are planning a summer makeover for this place, as we will both have more time by then.

We’re not sure what exactly that will all entail (feel free to give us ideas) but we’ll let you know as soon as we come up with a plan.

Oh, and by the way Foles, I don’t see you posting at all. :-P

I’m a Slacker

Okay, so I haven’t been posting much. Neither has anyone else, but as I discovered today, they probably couldn’t even if they’d tried.

When I upgraded WordPress after the server move it changed all of our users to “Subscribers” including Marx and myself. That meant we could all log in until we were blue in the face but the dashboard had none of the abilities to write a post.

So when any of our fine posters logged in they probably thought we’d taken away their privileges. We didn’t… I just apparently don’t pay attention at ALL.

The only account that could write anything was the joint admin account that Marx and I both use–and I usually log in using that and then just set my posts to reflect that I was the author. We use the same computer and just have it always logged in as the admin, so that’s why it took so long for me to notice.

So, sorry guys. It’s been fixed and I hope we’re back up to speed.

Move Mostly Successful

Our site has been moved to the new server mostly all the way….

I’m not going to say completely because I’d rather not jinx it right now. There are still a couple questionable things I’m going to look at more tomorrow after I’ve had some sleep.

This is a test of posting and then I’ll also test-post over at the forums just to make sure that everything is working fairly well over there.

If anyone notices anything wonky, please let us know. And thanks for your patience!

(Okay I just looked a little more closely and it looks like we’ll have to rebuild the blogroll from scratch because wordpress doesn’t include it in the export file and that never occurred to me. That may take some time….)

Site Move

We seem to have outgrown the server space that has been freely allotted to us by a very nice friend of ours, so now we are faced with the task of moving ButteTalk and the forums to our new space. The addresses won’t change, but it may take a little bit of time for the DNS to go through and for us to get all the bugs out.

We’ll be back up and running as soon as we can.

Forum Launched!

Well… What can we say? We were impatient.

We slaved away, making sure we would meet the deadline, and.. well.. surpassed it by three days.

We’re still putting some finishing touches on the board, but it’s all up and ready for use!

The ButteTalk team has been working hard to build and design a new, alternative forum/board.

We’re working on the finishing touches and the forum is scheduled to be launched the first of the year.
