The Butte Central Maroons defeated the Havre Blue Ponies Saturday night to take the Central A Title. The Maroons advance to state March 2nd, 3rd, and 4th at the MSU Fieldhouse in Bozeman. The games will be broadcast on Kopper94 (KOPR – 94.1FM) and online at liveradio.mitec.us.
In the Bulldog’s 21st win at home Saturday in the confines of the Butte Civic Center, they defeated the Kalispell Braves 66-46 and guarenteed themselves a spot at the State tournament March 9th, 10th, and 11th at the Butte Civic Center.
The Butte High Lady Bulldogs were unsucessful Saturday with a loss to the Kalispell Bravettes at the Butte Civic Center. They fell 42-33. It didn’t effect their chances at the State Tournament, however. The Lady Bulldogs are in 4th place in the conference and will have a playoff game at home next Thursday or Friday.
